Why You Shouldn’t Expand

Our mindset is to believe this – but is bigger really better?

Bigger means expanding  your current operations, adding capacity, or multiplying with additional practices.

“Bigger” can be better, but usually it isn’t.

Most of the time, those who focus on getting bigger end up on a hamster wheel, in that their net profits go down and their overhead goes up.

Adding additional operations may be a good thing in some cases, but you have to be discerning as to whether or not it’s right for you.

For most people, expanding is not the way to go.

Maybe people believe that getting free has to do with making more money.

And yes, we have to have a certain amount of money.

In Freedom Founders, getting free has to do with having more passive cash flow to replace your active income.

Before you expand your operations, think about this …

When most people reach a certain point in their career, they are looking for more time rather than more money.

Time is a commodity that you can never buy back.

Once it’s gone, there’s nothing you can do.

With money, you can always make more of it.

You need to have money, you need to make a net profit, and you need money to invest – but what you really need is time.

With time, you can reduce your stress levels, focus on your health, and spend more time with your family.

Before expanding your business, think about how much time you have, and what’s really important to you.

Usually, in a single business or practice, there is so much that can be optimized.

On the investment side, many doctors work hard, but don’t take care of their money.

A third party financial investor can help you accumulate more money, but not produce cash flow – and it’s really all about cash flow.

If you can produce cash flow from your investments and multiply that, then that is what gives you freedom.
