And we’re taught to get an education in order to get some kind of job or into your own business – the American Dream.

People will tell you that the more expertise, skill sets, and licenses you have, the more you can charge for your time. That’s true, but there’s a cap on what you can charge and how many hours you have in a month or a year.

The biggest problem with that type of income is that it’s taxed at the highest rates. So you’re paying maximum taxes and you’ve got to stay on the treadmill, working harder and harder as the slope gets steeper. Tax rates go up, while your ability to create more profit through trading time for dollars does not.

There’s nothing wrong with working hard – but you need to work smarter to create the freedom you want. You’ve got to get used to a different model. Go to the inefficient alternative markets: businesses and Real Estate, which are harder for most people because you can’t just click a mouse to make those investments.

And I love it that way. You have to have access to people with the network to lead-generate and find those deals. Wall Street can’t play on Main Street. It’s not scalable for them and they don’t know how. It’s what gives us a chance, but you’ve got to do a little bit of work. You can’t just throw your money into a 401(k) lockbox and say it’s going to be fine – because it’s not.

If you really want to change your life and be a hero for your family, you’ve got to change your model. You can still work and do what you love, but do it on your own terms and without a scarcity mindset.

What happens in the next pandemic? Or if your health goes bad and you can’t do the things you did before? You want to start creating freedom now – not some magical day down the road that will never come.

Too many people put it off and then live their lives with regrets. Don’t let that be you and the potential memories with your family. Be strong, take a different path. Don’t follow the majority; be a contrarian for once in your life.

Step up and find the tribe of people who have done this and have a track record of doing it well – people who are actually free, who then show others the path to freedom.
