he world we live in is amazing and full of opportunities, particularly for those of us who live in the United States.
However, even in our blessed life here, there are dangers and pitfalls.
There are areas in our own lives where we can become complacent and begin taking too many things for granted.
This is really what I call “The Age of the Pivot.” We need the ability to be flexible and adaptable. No longer can we just set our sights and move forward doing the same old things – the same kinds of work, the same models of business, the same ways of making income. More than ever before, we’ve got to move and adapt quickly as the market and economic and political arenas change.
It’s very important to always be looking ahead and challenging yourself to become more skilled in communication, in marketing, in leadership, in collaboration. These skills aren’t taught in school, but they are available to any of us if we decide to invest in ourselves.
As much as I believe in investing in Real Estate, investing in yourself is one of the first places I would tell someone to invest – and the ROI is massive. When you pursue self-education through reading the right things, listening to the right thought leaders, and being around the right people who help sharpen you, you are setting yourself up to succeed in the midst of a rapidly changing world.
These are the constructs we need moving forward. Those who ignore them do so at their own peril.
I exhort you to focus on how you can become a more flexible person, both in your business and in your life.
That kind of preparedness will serve you and the people you care about very, very well.
