You can’t shrink your way to wealth.
A lot of people talk about cutting out expenses in life.
If you try to live an entitled lifestyle and use a lot of consumer debt, then there is no question that you will have a ball-and-chain tied to you that is going to hinder you from getting to freedom.
Yes, you must be wise about where you spend your money, and cutting your expenses.
But there is no way that you can shrink your way to freedom.
You have to learn how to invest, and how to invest the right way if you want to get to freedom.
The right way to invest capital that you have saved up is not in a 401K, in the stock market, in a savings plan…and not even in real estate.
You have to invest in YOU.
You have to become wiser, increase your skill set, and improve your expertise.
But most importantly, you have to change the way you think about your life.
You have to surround yourself with other people who are already on the path to freedom.
The first dimension in life is our business, focusing on our practice.
The second dimension is focusing on building wealth and capital assets outside of one’s primary work.
Most people put their money in a 401K, the stock market, or in mutual funds, which is a long road to where you want to go, even if you can get there.
The third dimension to focus on is freedom – to leverage and move the wealth you have been building into freedom-mode, so that you can have passive income working for you, even when you aren’t working.
The faster you move to that level, the quicker you will have freedom.
Don’t wait until you’re 65, 70, 75 years old to enjoy the fruits of your labor, because by then it will be too late.
You have to change the way you think. Leverage everything – time, money, and resources, both from you and your network – in a positive way.
Don’t hide behind a scarcity mindset.
You have to have an abundance mindset, and you can get that from being around other people who already have that mindset.
