I hear the same story over and over again from different dentists I engage with, and that is that they want to get out sooner rather than later.
Many of the younger ones are adamant about looking for investments and other business opportunities that they can get involved in.
And what everyone really wants today is freedom.
Dentistry can provide a nice lifestyle – as long as you are working.
Unfortunately what’s happening in the industry today, is that we have the marginalization of corporate clinics and managed care and insurance, which is decreasing margins.
If you are a dentist with a lot of debt right now, then you don’t have to feel bad, but what you do need is a blueprint.
You need to have a roadmap.
You can’t just dig your head in the sand and hope for the best.
You have to focus on what you do best.
I have realized that having a Plan B is critical.
I was always a seeker, and fortunately, I found great mentors throughout my life who guided me.
I also found real estate, which was the best thing I ever did.
Real estate is an amazing vehicle, but it’s also much more than that.
It takes work and it takes time, but the most important aspect about real estate is that it takes a great network.
The people I have found who are the best in real estate are entrepreneurs, since they have a unique mindset.
Their mindset is different then the traditional mindset I had growing up.
The traditional mindset I grew up with does not have to be the case anymore.
These days, all of our lives should go in phases.
It is good to transition and evolve, and find the things that you really like to do.
I needed freedom, and fortunately, real estate provided that for me.
The best part about real estate was that, the people who I was able to surround myself with, including entrepreneurs and capitalists, changed my way of thinking.
Surrounding myself with these types of people gave me the permission to let go of something that served me well, and then go on to the next thing.
I love what I get to do today, because I get to agitate people’s lives in a good way.
I like to help people find the truth, and quit lying to themselves.
The reality is that most people don’t love what they do everyday.
And what’s so good about having a lot of money if you don’t like what you get to do everyday?
You have to change something … but how are you going to do that?
Not with some wild investment scam or the latest bitcoin cryptocurrency.
Quit dreaming and take some action.
